Yesterday afternoon, I had the pleasure of being in the Boston area during Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tickets were too expensive to come by, but just being a New Yorker in the midst of stressed out Bostonians for a sporting event, well, it felt pretty good anyway.
Lebron James and Paul Pierce put on a playoff performance for the ages that is already being compared to the Bird-Nique showdown in the 80s. Seemed like these were the only two with the sack to take every big shot in the game and literally carried their respective teams to the threshold.
However, speaking on the Cavaliers, does anybody really blame Bronnie if he dips out of Ohio in two years? The supporting cast is almost laughable. The only thing better than watching this epic showdown yesterday, was watching Greg Anthony son Skip Bayless on First Take on ESPN2. Anthony pretty much dared Skip to hate on LeBron, and when he did (no surprise), Greg Anthony proceeded to shut Skip the fuck up. Thankfully. I mean how can you hate on this?
