Is He Losing it?

My guess has, and will be until proven otherwise, unequivically yes...damn. Remember Kobe or T-Mac was a legit argument?

Obama <3's Kobe

Eh, If the Prez says it...

"It's A Shamockery! Shamockery I Say!!!!!"

Since fans select the All-Star starters, the same 10 are virtual locks for the next 5-10 years. However, All-Stars reserves which are selected by coaches are usually held up to a hire standard.
Enter the Snubs.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the top teams in the NBA this season and it is understandable that they should have more than one player representing them in Phoenix.
Cavs Guard Mo Williams is one who got the snub when reserves were announced last night, which in turn made Ben Wallace deliver this gem to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

“It’s a tragedy,” Ben Wallace said. “I think it’s an injustice. It’s a fraud. We’ve got the best record in the league, and we’ve only got one guy going. You always make it the next year, after the year you were supposed to make it. It’s a travesty and a sham and a mockery. It’s a shamockery.”

Heeeeelarious Ben, just heeeeelarious. Does anyone got a soundbite on this? Because if Big Ben said this with a serious tone of voice, that just makes it all the more hilarious.

Shaq is Back in the All Star Game!

I for one think Shaq should be placed in the All-Star game, one way or another, until he doesn't want to play anymore, not only is he back playing at a dominant level, but also because of shit like this....

West -
Kobe Bryant - Lakers
Chris Paul - Hornets
Amare Stoudemire - Suns
Tim Duncan - Spurs
Yao Ming - Rockets
David West - Hornets
Brandon Roy - Blazers
Chauncey Billups - Nuggets
Dirk Nowitzki - Mavericks
Pau Gasol - Lakers
Tony Parker - Spurs
Shaquille O'Neal - Suns

East -
Dwight Howard - Magic
LeBron James - Cavaliers
Dwyane Wade - Heat
Kevin Garnett - Celtics
Allen Iverson - Pistons
Devin Harris - Nets
Danny Granger - Pacers
Chris Bosh - Raptors
Jameer Nelson - Magic
Rashard Lewis - Magic
Joe Johnson - Hawks
Paul Pierce - Celtics

Kobe is officially not fucking around

Is it safe to say there back? Not just Kobe, Not just the Lakers, but the NBA. The NBA is back in a major way with the Lakers in the finals. David Stern is currently doing heeltoes in his office. Also, if the Boston Celtics win the Eastern Conference Fianls tonight, prepare for a media frenzy like we haven't seen since the Jordan days. With Rip going down for the Pistons, it looks like the Celtics might be able to wrap it up in the palace. Two great basketball teams in two great basketball cities led by two iconic basketball legends (Garnett being the other) battling it out for the coveted Larry O'Brien Trophy? The fans can only hope(except if you live in Detroit)

Remember This Guy?

Remember when the Nets had Jason Kidd? Remember how geeked we fans were when the Vince Carter deal happened. Thinking we were going to get something that resembled this specimen. Well if you dont, this is the Vince we wanted. This tape right here, is the legendary Vince Carter Tape. No music, shitty chopping, simply known as, "The Tape" adds more to the legend of the greatest game dunker of all time. Credit to Slam Magazine

The King and The Truth Go In...

Yesterday afternoon, I had the pleasure of being in the Boston area during Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tickets were too expensive to come by, but just being a New Yorker in the midst of stressed out Bostonians for a sporting event, well, it felt pretty good anyway.
Lebron James and Paul Pierce put on a playoff performance for the ages that is already being compared to the Bird-Nique showdown in the 80s. Seemed like these were the only two with the sack to take every big shot in the game and literally carried their respective teams to the threshold.
However, speaking on the Cavaliers, does anybody really blame Bronnie if he dips out of Ohio in two years? The supporting cast is almost laughable. The only thing better than watching this epic showdown yesterday, was watching Greg Anthony son Skip Bayless on First Take on ESPN2. Anthony pretty much dared Skip to hate on LeBron, and when he did (no surprise), Greg Anthony proceeded to shut Skip the fuck up. Thankfully. I mean how can you hate on this?

Speaking of OJ

Allegedly, the former USC star and projected Lottery Pick in the 2008 received thousands of dollars in cash, clothes and other benefits while at USC and at Huntington High School in West Virginia. A flat-screen television for Mayo's dorm room, cell phone service, a hotel room, clothes, meals and airline tickets were some of the things mentioned by a former member of Mayo's inner circle Louis Johnson.
It is being said that OJ gave a verbal agreement to big shit sports agent Bill Duffy while in high school that in exchange for the benefits, that OJ would sign with his management firm upon entering the NBA.
Shit, as much as I hate to see college athletes get hated on like this, the paper trail is way too thick. Those who know of OJ's past know that he was constructed to be an NBA player ever since he was in the 8th grade. He's alot older than the typical freshman(21 years) and his commitment to USC screamed one and done since it was announced two years ago.
To be honest, it's only going to screw over USC and OJ has virtually nothing to lose and only needs to deny it all the way to the bank (see: Reggie Bush). USC can potentially lose scholorships, tournament participation, and get butt-raped by the way too up tight NCAA.

Will He Show Up?

This is kind of an unfair title. It isn't so much of Lebron showing up, as much as it is the Bronnettes coming through. Aside from Zydrunas Ilgauskas, no Cavalier players have helped the King in any way shape or form. Sure LeBron has been clanking away, but that's expected with the smothering defense of the Boston Celtics. Or maybe we've seen this story before. Last series the Celtics went up 2-0 to begin the series and we all know how that ended up. Last year the Pistons went up 2-0 on the Cavaliers and we all know how that ended up. This is LeBron James we are talking about, if anyone can put a team on his back and carry them to Parts Unknown, it is the kid from Akron. We've seen James in the past completely take out a battle tested veteran team like the Pistons, and all season LeBron made the Celtics his personal bitches statistically throughout the season. However, this is the playoffs. (Playoffs?! You Kiddin' Me? Playoffs?!) Yes, playoffs. If I were a betting man, which I'm not (thank you Andre Marable),i'm willing to bet that Bronnie goes off with a triple double and/or a 30-40 plus point game and a (close) win against the Celtics. They will need every single one of them tonight.

Why I Love Chris Paul

The best point guard in the league hands down.

How Much Shaq Is Too Much Shaq? This Much.

Shaq finally shows his ass, sadly though, it was off the court, and not on it.

You play for the SUNS Shaq! Not the Moons!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Your All-NBA First Team

The sportswriters could not have been more on point with this team. Although, I am surprised that Kobe was the only unanimous selection to the team when the rest of the guys are also No-Brainers. Each of these picks could have legitemately won the MVP award at one point this year. Moreover, this is , this is the five most influential basketball players on Earth. Interchange Kevin Garnett with Amare Stoudemire and this can be a potential All-Decade Team.

The Power of the Powder

Knowing ESPN and their ability to make useless stories, I'm highly surprised that they didn't make so much of the pregame rituals of the marquee athletes in tonight's playoff games.

Screw X's and O's and LeBron playing the worst game of his life, and the Celtics quest for the chip, it's all about the baby powder! KG is obviously the originator of the baby powder routine, but LeBron has definitely freaked the ritual and has turned it into a full-fledge pregame show.

I want to know, who does it better? Bronnie or KG?

Ya'll Musta Forgot!!!

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely happy the Kobe Bryant finally got his long overdue MVP award, and yes maybe one day we can call Kobe one of the best ever, but I don't want to hear any of these damn people trying to argue that Kobe is now greater than Michael Jordan simply because he scored 81 points or has more range than Mike ever did. Sure that may be true, but MJ is the G.O.A.T. and has been the unquestioned leader of the Bulls since day one, where it seemed Kobe had to wrestle that leadership away from Shaq. Sure Kobe came straight out of high school and had a higher ceiling than Jordan because of the extra years, but... you know what? I can sit here and post a million videos about how great Mike was, but here is some rare 40 second footage why he was the G.O.A.T.

Bow in the prescence of greatness...

"I'm A Dumbass"

The great thing about the "NBA on TNT" is that your always guaranteed some sort of entertainment even if the game does not live up to the hype, last night was no different. There's a reason why Inside the NBA always wins Emmys. Fans of "Anchorman" will appreciate this...shoutout to SLAM magazine and ODENIZED
